St. Benedict Window ProjectAbout the Project
St. Benedict church, located at 9th and Ohio streets in Terre Haute, Indiana, is one of the oldest churches in downtown Terre Haute. All of the windows in the church are stained glass and were originally installed in the 1930's.
A recent survey of the facilities pointed out that all the windows were in need of repair. Some of them were in such bad shape that a sever wind storm could have caused them to crumble.
The project consisted of removal some of the stained glass windows, repair of these windows by stained glass experts, replacement of framing and clear glass outsell windows and finally the replacement of the refurbished stained glass windows.
The project was completed in stages with the most severely deteriorated windows repaired first.
