Located in northern Vermillion County, Indiana, the Newport Chemical Ammunitions Plant served as a primary facility for the Department of Defense.  Currently housing VX chemicals, the Newport Project includes the construction of facilities to neutralize the VX chemicals.

     Sycamore Engineering has been on site working with other contractors and the Corp of Engineers on numerous projects in preparation for the neutralization process.  Among the activities are mechanical and electrical work on the new lab facility, mechanical and electrical work on a new warehouse and major underground utility construction including sanitary and water lines and major electrical duct bank construction.
